In order for Tempe Town Lake to host a full body contact event the pH of the water must be 9.0 or below, as required by Maricopa County. Wetsuits may be used when the water temperature does not exceed 78 F.Īll Splash & Dash races are held at the Special Event Ramp, on the north side of the lake between Mill and Rural. All participants need to wear a timing chip around their ankle. Taking a Right turn on an incline to the canal path we will head south to Guadalupe road for a U-turn with a quarter mile until the finish back in the parking lot where we started. Heading back under the bridge for 1.75 laps around the lake. The route goes north on All American Way and drops down towards the lake, but first we will run under the bridge and around the playground area. Will start out in the parking lot across from the recreation center/tennis courts. I have a decent route picked out with just over a 100ft of elevation gain.
